Gorgeous and Graceful House on Metolius Oregon Wedding

There’s something in the way Grant and Lena look at each other. It’s something I hope for all my couples to have. It’s something you can’t coach or fake. It is just simply love and I never tire of it. I was so happy to be a part of Grand and Lena’s wedding day at the GORGEOUS House on Metolius. It is one of my absolute favorite wedding venues in Central Oregon. Actually, I think i have said it before… when I first went to visit House on Metolius I pulled up, opened my door, and remember that dry piney smell and hearing the breeze whistling through the tall evergreens… I wanted to just sit down in one of their adirondack chairs conveniently placed in the grass facing the incredible views of the mountains and never leave. If felt like home somehow. Every time I get to go back there I have the same experience as soon as I pull in. It’s just incredible.

Grant and Lena both got ready in the large sprawling ranch house on the property before having their first look in front of a picturesque red barn in the middle of a field. I mean, seriously? Is that real life? The answer is yes… and I was pretty excited about it. The slightly overcast skies made for incredible light, even in the middle of the day and we took full advantage taking portraits in the middle of the field with stunning Mt. Jefferson behind them. Their ceremony was in a mowed field next to the Metolius River and as if that doesn’t sound perfect enough… just look at the photos. It was better than I could have ever expected and filled with tears and laughter. They continued the celebration on the upper lawn in front of the ranch house with the most gorgeous tables. A total photographer’s dream! Sharika of Petala Flower Farms did such a jaw dropping job on this wedding that I wish I had had like 3 more hours just to take photos of ever single flower! I love when a wedding matches the feeling of the space it’s in and that’s exactly what Grant and Lena’s wedding did. It felt like home… a stunningly beautiful, comfortable, friendly home.
